Solar energy

Solar radiation is one of the safest, most effective and most economical sources of energy, which has the potential to become the main source of energy in future . since the construction and commissioning of a Photovoltaic power station is done only once, the location of these power plants surely becomes the most important component in the process of their construction . Moreover , the main components of a solar power station are panels and inverters that convert solar energy into electricity .

Renewable energy

Sustainable energy, which is also called renewable energy, refers to a type of energy that, unlike non-renewable or fossil energy, has the source of producing that type of energy with the ability to regenerate in a short period of time by nature. Solar energy is known as the most important source of clean and environmental friendly energy compared to other renewable energies such as wind energy, water energy, marine energy and biological energy.

Solar energy in IRAN

IRAN benefits from 300 sunny days per a year compared with GERMANY with 158 sunny days  However GERMANY is one of the largest solar power producers in the world. With an installed capacity of  nearly 60 GW instead to IRAN with less than 1 GW

KASHMAR SOLAR FARM

DAMAVAND company just has been rewarded a tender of 100 MW solar farm located at Northeast of IRAN, near the KASHMAR county in Khorasan Razavi Province. This tender was held by the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA). Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA) is a governmental organization affiliated to the Ministry of Energy and is responsible to promote the widespread adoption and sustainable use of all forms of renewable energy and increase energy efficiency in Iran.

SATBA serves as the principal platform to develop clean and renewable energy, a center of excellence, and a repository of policy, technology, resource and financial knowledge on renewable energy.

 Establishing and developing new synergies, promoting incentive and enabling policies, building capacity and fostering cooperation, supporting private sector, setting attractive tariffs, concluding long-term power purchase agreements, providing the required infrastructures, are among SATBA organization’s activity
